gardeners

we went on a gardening spree. reborn-liberals, we went to home depot and decided to make these plants our own. also acquired a few of them on my way through preston, mn at preston berry farm on 52. delicious apple pie with homemade vanilla bean.

these fine yellow galoshes are the new home to our lavender, unnecessary home-goods purchase

what a wonderful lunch

peanut butter & banana on amish white, notice the tuesday morning spice jars (79 cents).

lunch bags

our lunch bags, generally we pack hyphenated, in the green monster. on lucky days, in addition to our polka dot lunch bag we travel with the masculine cake vessel. either way, I am very lucky to be responsible for carrying one of them through mayo.

domestication

we made some iron chef'd blueberry muffins (kate approved) for a lazy sunday. they came out well, as most things have from hyphen kitchen (reed-hoffmann). here are some images of the goodies!

aftermath

Yesterday we went to a five-year-old birthday party. There was blue jello, tangled barbies, some white person version of pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey, mango chutney chicken salad that brendan fell in love with, tangled cake, skateboarding, and a princess pinata.

Brooke's take on her birthday card that said happy fifth birthday: "this card is only for five year olds!"

I also made our weekly bread, the most delish bread in the whole universe, and it turned out the most fantastic.

we also made cous cous with saffron/cardemom and zucchini and tomatoes.

I need ideas for foods with coriander, star anise, and cardemom - random purchases I made yesterday

why is it so ugly outside?
why do croissants take 14 hours to make?
why does ratatouille also take all day to make?
my name is not carlos
when is gardening happening?
