Thanks to the pine island cheese festival on saturday (where there was no cheese), we came across a little butcher-man who taught brendan the ways of the pork-chop and sirloin world. Meanwhile, pup and I were outside singing/howling. Here's our steak:
While Brendan's preparing the steak, I receive explicit instructions to buy summer squash. I've never heard of this new-england term, so this is what i bought, under a sign that said "acorn squash":
Squash with brown sugar, butter, and maple syrup is always delicious
The final product: squash, perfectly cooked meat, and tomato-apricot cous cous:
Pup and I had a good day, or, she's about to eat my face:
I always look like a dump in these pictures. Let me qualify, I don't always have my hair up and a red face and wear bright orange running shorts. It just looks like I do. Pup and I like to run before dinner and this is what results.
Also, first attempt at making iced tea was a success. the end.
