procrastinatory sunday

Little brother came to visit this weekend, we did laundry, went to red lobster, thrifted at good will, etc etc. Anything to not do homework this weekend.

In the same spirit of avoiding making my journal club presentation, here's a snapshot of what the family accomplished this weekend:

For those of you who did not get the memo, I got a Kindle for my birthday which is exciting and so far I have downloaded and am attempting to read Jane Eyre. I've tried reading it multiple times, and have found it just as awful as Pride and Prejudice. Maybe it's better on a kindle.

So, to better stow said kindle I made up my own kindle cover out of an old book and 50% off fabric at JoAnns

Festive Birds:
 Rudimentary Kindle holstering:

 Final product:

I'm pretty proud of myself.
Pumpkin bread pudding was also made because I am a huge fan of seasonal items:

The hallway closet/pantry was lined with pretty paper and reorganized. I bought a huge roll of contact paper - I'm debating also lining the bottom of the water softner to make it "fit in" since it is the ugly stepsister right now, bad idea?:

The reason we could reorganize the closet --- the huge wardrobe is up in the garage to hold all of our extra crap! I did not help with this creation:

My favorite thrifted item of the day --- I have big dreams of salty caramel ice cream --- $6:

Also festive, pumpkins representing the three of us:

A lot gets done when there is no motivation to learn about gamma delta T cells. Never heard of them? Me neither.
